Standards and legal references
The U.S. Department of Justice explains that the ADA's nondiscrimination and effective-communication requirements apply to the online services of covered public accommodations. Its Guidance on Web Accessibility and the ADA identifies WCAG as a useful technical resource.
- 28 CFR § 36.201: nondiscrimination and equal access for covered public accommodations.
- 28 CFR § 36.302: reasonable modifications to policies, practices, and procedures.
- 28 CFR § 36.303: auxiliary aids and services and effective communication.
DOJ's separate Title II web-accessibility rule applies to state and local government content. It is not the rule governing this private business website. WCAG 2.2 is our chosen technical target; WCAG 3 remains a draft.
Assessment and review

Scope and ongoing review
This statement covers the public Stable Storefronts website. Accessibility work is ongoing, and we welcome reports of barriers. The improvement date records work on the website; it is not an ADA certification or a claim that every user experience is free of barriers.
